Hi guys
I have a 582/gearbox C combo in a Loehle P-5151 and the propbolts
I'm using are 8mm-120mm 12.9 class Allen Head bolts and I can't seam to find specs. Does anyone out there think 20-25 foot pounds sound right? The bolt heads have been drilled for safety wired.

Somewhere I found Two different sets of numbers called out for Allen and Hex type heads.

Thanks
Mike

What type of prop? Different prop setups have different torques.

Prop torque is generally set by the prop maker. 20 to 25 ft lb. is too much for the bolt in question. By prop makers, as an example, Warp Drive is 175 in lb. (about 14.5 ft lb.) and Power Fin is 195 in lb. (about 16 ft lb.) if you have a wood prop it will likely be even less.

Stupid me, I forgot to mention Warp drive as the prop.

Per Warp Drive, 175 in. lb. on the 8mm bolts, 125 in. lb. on the AN-4's.
