Kitfoxers under construction, I wanted to give you KItfox Mod 3 and older builders my perspective on what I would do if building another 3.
The modifications I have are;
1 Aluminum cabin belly pan
2 Dorsal Fin
3 Home made Lexan turtle deck
4 Homemade 5" wider cabin at the shoulder (similar to Murle Williams setup)
5 Lowell Fitt electric trim tab
6 Lowell Fitt radiator shutter
7 Lexan oberservation doors
8 Kitfox door struts
9 Lowell Fitt bush gear10 front and back door latch with single handle
11 21x12x8 Nanking tires
To make it short the only things I would change would be to eliminate the trim tab and radiator shutters. I have had the belly pan, that was pooh poohed, off twice. The dorsal fin is purely cosmetic, but worth it in my opinion. The newer faster models would benefit from the trim tab, however I find I don't use it on the slow Mod 3. Flaperon trim is sufficient. I also don't use the radiator shutter. Wouldn't be without the bush gear, observation doors, door struts and wider cabin. As Lynn says, "Maybe it's just me", but that's what I would do.
