Whirl Wind Aviation is now taking orders for the 3-Blade all composite constant speed propeller for the M-14P power aircraft. This is an 260cm diameter full aerobatic (counter-weighted) constant speed propeller.

Here are some pictures from final flight testing on Pete Taylor's Yak 52. This propeller is the evolution of the popular 3-Blade composite-wood core constant speed propeller previously sold by Whirl Wind.

I can't wait to get my new all composite "3 blader'" in roughly three
weeks!! That would make me third man to have one and first to fly it on a
CJ6!!

The new all composite Whirlwind Propeller 3 blader looks awesome! Not only
it looks great but as I am told, it was designed to be superior to the 3
blade wood/composite combo prop that it is replacing!

I should find out real quick if this is the case right on my first flight
with the new propeller - I say this so confidently simply because I have
been flying behind the older Whirlwind wood/composite 3 blader for over 700
hours.! These 700 hours were spent mostly flying formation and light to
moderate acrobatics.

As you all know, the only substitute to power is More Power(!) I love what
the M-14P engine with a two blade prop does to the CJ6 .and then you add a 3
blade Whirlwind and you have an M-14 powered CJ6 on steroids. It should be
illegal to have this much fun... I am pretty sure that Pete Taylor will
report similar results with this prop on his Yak-52.

I guess that flying the new composite 3 blader will make me a "Second
Generation Whirlwinder".

By the way, I have also been very impressed with the folks at both Whirlwind
Propellers in CA and at their sister company, Whirlwind Aviation in OH -
their customer service is great and they design and make superior propellers
in looks, quality and performance!

One more (very important) thing or our U.S folks - All Whirlwind Propellers
are "Born in The USA"! I think that especially in the present world
situation as well as our own (U.S) economy, "Made in America" hopefully
means a lot more. If you are in the market for a superb, latest technology
three bladed propeller for your CJ/Yak/Pitts 12 and any other M-14P powered
aircraft -consider supporting our home based company and let's keep the jobs
here, at home. I trust that our good friends outside the U.S. who are
considering a new 3 blades propeller will be equally impressed flight
testing one - all are invited to join me for a ride in Miami...!

I will report back on my actual experience after flying the new propeller
for a few hours -can't wait, really!
Do I 'sound' excited?? You bet I am!!
That's it, I am done for tonight, off my soap box. Smile
