Let's beat a dead horse.
I have some pics of 923TE during and after installation. Does the engine look aligned to the cowling? I don't remember if I had to do any shim changing or not. Probably. My only observation was that the MT spinner was a smaller diameter than the original AA5B/AG5B spinner. It was noticeable.

Gary,
You did a nice job aligning the Jaguar cowl to a spinner that was out of alignment.

The engine was hanging down to the right.

The engine lined right up with the factory cowl when the left top engine mount bolt was properly torqued.

Too bad you did not check and correct the alignment of the spinner before you started installing the Jaguar cowl.

The plane has picked up a couple knots since the engine was aligned properly. Someday, soon I hope, I will also have the Jaguar cowl in correct alignment and it will not only fit properly but once again look as good as it does in your pictures.

Following is a copy of my email to you after first seeing these pictures over a year ago.:

The spinner was down and to the right a bit on the alignment on the old cowl. Did you have to remove a spacer from the top left to get the spinner centered on the new cowl?

Looks like the gap between cowl and spinner is less than the old one was...that would be good
