I used some fancy thread compound paste with teflon I got at the 

hardware store.

Hi Paul,



just read an article about the flanged fittings. It said... do not use any

sealing compound in order to ensure metal to metal contact of the flange....

torque: finger-tighten the nut and give it approx. 1/4 more turn with a

wrench.
