Steve,
Don't insure anything with exception to theft and fire until it's ready to
go to the airport.
The first year, go full hull for taxi and flight. The second year, go not in
motion only and later you might consider just liability
once you're comfortable with the working flight envelope. This is what I've
done and it went from $1500, to 900, to 750
And with hours exceeding, 200 or more I'd expect it to get down to less than
$ 500 one day. For liability only. I went with Sky Smith
Insurance. They will seek out a best price quote set and let you decide.
Good people!

I agree with what Larry said and I also use SkySmith for my Insurance
so for they have been great to work with.
