Thom R let me know he taxied his SS down to a water hose to wash it. I dug my old crate out from the dark reaches of its winter entombment.
So much stuff has to be kicked aside to get out to daylight. Good thing it's skinny.... it gets parked back by the furnace and water utilities.
Note how the little VW solex only clears with the door propped wide open. No fancy bifold here.
As you get older the time seems to fly by faster. This I refuse to accept and counter it by slowing down.

Bob,
From the looks of things, you NEED a hangar!!!
Speakin' of dirty planes.....
I rolled my plane out of my shop/hangar a few days ago and washed it. I forgot
it was white!! I was beginning to think it was 'dirt road brown'. I may have burned
my retinas on the clean, bright white, shining wings.
Just for grins, and a couple of weeks early, I started on all the blue and yellow striping
on it. I got a design from Scott Thompson, just different colors than he used. The
'artist's rendition' (a computer image of the final paint scheme) has been my desktop
image for a year.
What's really funny is....when I now walk into my shop and glance at the plane, it
NOW looks like my desktop image!! Kinda weird to see it real life, finally.
My plane is in the final days of construction.
I just walked in the door a few minutes ago. A member of our local EAA chapter has
a Cessna 180 and wanted someone to go with him for an pleasant, local flight. First time
I've been in a small plane since I sold my 172 three years ago. Felt good to be in the air again.
