Does anyone in the UK have a length of TP4 tube that they no longer need, or could lend me for a short time? The reason for asking is that I need to re-bond a TP5 sleeve. I could of course use the one already installed but I imagine that the risk of dislodging the tp5 when the tailplane is slid onto the TP4 is quite high and it would be easier and safer to do it the other way round and insert the TP4 into the tailplane.
If anyone can help could they contact me off list.
Thanks

Paul,
I solved this problem by purchasing, for a couple of pounds, a replacement old style cystern - to - lavatory bowl plastic pipe from B&Q. This had a sweeping 90 deg bend in the middle but the longest arm was quite straight and long enough to do the job. The diameter is a few thou over size but a lengthwise saw cut brings it down to exactly the right size as well as making the pipe slightly flexible in torque for easy removal. The bend also acts as a handle!

Paul

Gerry’s point about the plastic pipe works well. I have used it many time to do Mod 73.

As it happens I do have access to a good TP4 on an otherwise damaged aircraft. It has not been removed yet but If you feel you must use a TP4 contact me off list
