For those who have an iPad2 and want to jailbreak it, it's been
a long wait for the guys to come out with a public way to do
it, and tonight it arrived. It's the simplest jailbreak
yet.
It supports these devices:
iPad1: 4.3 through 4.3.3
iPad2: 4.3.3
iPhone3GS: 4.3 through 4.3.3
iPhone4: 4.3 through 4.3.3
iPhone4-CDMA: 4.2.6 through 4.2.8
iPod touch 3g: 4.3, 4.3.2, 4.3.3
iPod touch 4g: 4.3 through 4.3.3
It's the fastest, easiest, and least technical (to the end
user) jailbreak yet.
You just go to http://jailbreakme.com and click on the
FREE button on Cydia's screen, and then hit the INSTALL
button when it turns green. Then Cydia (the other app
store) will install, and you'll be jailbroken and have
access to all the other apps. SBSETTINGS is an app
that I can't do without, so it's great to have.
REMOVEBG (removes background process apps from running)
is another one that's real handy.
Anyway, if you want to jailbreak, update to 4.3.3 and
do it right away. Once apple releases 4.3.4, you may
not be able to do this again for many months.
Oh, and once you're jailbroken, you can patch the
flaw that they exploited by installing "PDF Patcher 2"
so that malicious sites can't mess with your
ipad.
