Hello,
when you primed your rudder skins did you tape the edge so that the ProSeal
would stick to the bare metal or just prime the edge too and apply the
ProSeal on top of it?. (I use DuPont 820R Primer in case that matters).
Best Regards
Michael

Michael,
I primed the entire skin, then added the proseal. Remember that the proseal
is only there to help hold things in position for the next steps. It is not
even needed, and some builders do not use it at all. Take a look at some of
the web sites for alternative ways of handling trailing edges. I followed
the instructions and it apparently worked fine.

There is no need to proseal....all you are doing is adding weight!

Weeeeeellllllllll....maybe,
Proseal is really not needed...but the advantage is when you get ready to prep that trailing edge for paint...the proseal...which takes paint and primer very well fills the rotten ole nasty few thousand of an inch little gaps between the avex wedge and the two skins. Your OK with leaving the AKZO and maybe the SW epoxy primer, wipe off the others with Acetone. The proseal really does help when trying to get a nice "finished" trailing edge. Mine primed great and you can't tell the skins from the wedge....thta's a good enough reason for me to endorse sealing the edges.
