All,
Just to update the Lightning list, Nick and Mark did arrive early this afternoon. And since they were parking in two locations, I was only able to help one of them (Nick in this case) get their Lightnings to the respective display areas. The aircraft that Nick flew in (beautiful red/white/blue that belongs to the new dealer to be in Kentucky - I think) will be parked in the main display area, and the one that Mark flew in (their main demonstrator) will be parked in the Light Sport Mall. Both locations are the same as last year if you have been to OSH before. This evening we all went to a party at Brennand Airport (about 12 miles north of Oshkosh) that was hosted by the Midwest Lightning Dealer that is located at this airport. Thanks Tom and Al. By the way, if anyone is interested in a Lightning demo ride during Oshkosh, the demo flights will take place at Brennand. Come by the Lightning booth as early in the week and sign up with Nick for your demo flight.
I arrived in the area late Wednesday evening and will be working in the Lightning display area all week. This is my first year not to be a Volunteer in the Vintage area in over 20 years, so I am really looking forward to the opportunity to meet many more of the Lightning community - both past builders and owners that I have not met before and any new or potential customers. I have certainly enjoyed my involvement with the Lightning team over the past 6 or so years and now I will finally have a chance to spend much more time here talking about building and flying the Lightning. What could be better than that.
Blue Skies (at OSH this afternoon)
