Gary, thanks for the input. The "strange" airport I parked my plan at is a small strip at Cleveland Tennessee where back on 14 October 1972 I was living in a little trailer just outside of the fence while going to university. That particular night two 15 year old guys hot wired a C-150 and tried to fly it away. I arrived at the crash site to see and hear them scream as they were cut out of the wreckage. Really, I am more concerned that someone would screw with the thing overnite as a prank and I not catch it the next morning and you guy read about it a week later on the ntsb. I am insured for vandalism and theft, it's what else that could occur that concerns me. So the lock. If it's broken into at least I'll know to really look for something. Someone broke into my Corvette in 1976 in Suttgard Germany. Nothing inside to steal, but the damage was significant. Never locked it after that. So I understand both side of the argument, Thanks again and best regards, Bill

What about getting some seals like they use on utility meter sockets. They
won't keep anyone out but they will make it obvious that someone was
tampering with it. Or how about the old toothpick under the door seal trick.
If someone opens the canopy, the toothpick falls out. If the toothpick is
missing you know someone was messing.

Bryan, somehow I get the impression you might have worked for the "company"
or at least read more than a few Sam Spade stories. Good ideas and thanks with
best regards, Bill
