I'm happy to report that Joe was doing better when I visited him in the hospital today. He was alert and talking and had started eating. Hopefully this improvement will continue and he may be able to go home as early at next Monday. Of course, with the hurricane due to our area of Virginia this Saturday, he is probably better off in the hospital.
I would like to thank all of you that have sent Joe your "best wishes" so far. I made a copy of the messages that I had by 10 AM this morning and read them to Joe when I got to the hospital about noon. He got a big kick out of hearing from all of you and I feel sure it has helped his overall feeling. I will add those messages that have come in today and tonight and take them to him tomorrow. So keep those "get well" wishes for Joe coming to the Lightning list and I will make sure he gets your messages.

Buz, I was worried about you when we heard about the earthquake. Than the rain storm. But, as usual you are worrying about some one else. Our prayers are with Joe. If he needs a warm climate to rejuvenate we always have room. Crystal and Greg Hobbs AZ.

Unfortunately Joe had a set back yesterday and was moved from the nursing home back to the hospital. When I left last night they had him stabilized again, and he was resting, although fitfully, in a comfortable room. Linda was there and of course that helps to make Joe more comfortable. So please continue to keep Joe and Linda in your thoughts and prayers. As always, I'll copy and take any messages to Joe that you care to send.

Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear he's back in the hospital. We'll continue to pray for him.
Let him know I think of him daily and hope he's back to good health soon.
