Hi Michel,
The forks would certainly be strong enough with the reduced fork length, even with slight
added width.

Subject: [Probable Spam] Nose wheel fork

Hello all,

I am about to install smaller wheels on my 601-HD (I'll install 5.00X5 wheels).. I would like to know if the wheel forks made of two layers of 3/16" 6061-T6 are strong enough...

Please comment before I buy the material to make new forks.

Thanks!

Thanks! And would you say the same for the main wheels?
For the lenght, i have to see. I fear that the ground clearance may become an issue with the 68" prop.

The only problem with mains, long forks and that size wheel, you will be hard pressed to find a wheel fairing that will fit.
If you go wide and stay long, the forks will probably be wobbly due to the leverage of that long an arm.  Suggest adding
a spacer above the fork to get the length you need for the prop.
