|
|
Good afternoon,
after opening the "brake line purge valve" on my pre-fligh
inspection, the valve would not re-seat and continued to leak air.
This created issues, as after taxing, I had little pressure left to
get the gear up (the gear and main pressure came up fairly quickly in
flight). Afterwards, we disconnected the airlines and removed the
blue bottle. Cleaned/flushed it all up, checked it with air, and it
still leaked. On dis-assembly, it appears that the valve seat and
mating parts are corroded. Air also appears to be leaking, albeit
less, out the valve opener (dial). So, are there replacement parts or
mods available?
Thanks,
Phil Nicholson

Contact me off list. We have a stainless steel mod to correct this problem. You can use this mod ONLY if the valve in your QL-17 snot valve is the type which is NOT welded to the bottle. Give me a call 509-826-4610.
Best
