Are the engine mount attach points on the firewall the same for the I through IV model aircraft, or did the attach points change as the fuselage got wider? Meaning, can you buy a mount that was made for a model I or model III and put it on a model IV?

For the record, here is what I got from the factory:

The mounts on the early models that were manufactured by the factory, Were from a template the builder would have to send back…No fixture during that era .. So each engine mount could vary slightly.. This mainly applies to the M1…
Most of the 2’s & 3’s should interchange.
But there is no good way to know 100% without taking mount & mount point measurements. |

I repowered my Model II from Rotax to HKS using a Green Skys mount. The mount they sent fit the plane perfectly sight unseen.... leading me to believe that at serial # 482 the factory jigging was correct and planes in model II III range were similar
