Weather permitting I may do testing on TO\landing on our well groomed grass runway at AWO.
Given the nature of a nosewheel + grass, I want to check to see what techiques are favored by 701 drivers for grass.
For takeoff my guess is to keep the stick-back from the start like other grass\nosewheel procedures ( being careful not to over rotate ), but keep the flaps retracted to reduced pressure on the nosewheel.
For landings it seems that a standard grass field approach with stick backpressure maintained would also be required, making sure my sink rate is low ( <100FPS ) and once again avoiding flaps to reduce the pressure on the nosewheel.
Any pointers specific to the 701?
Thanks,
