John,
I think you will find there is not much difference between the two. I would not hold the stick all the way back. I would lighten the load on the front wheel some, but all the way back is way too much. My takeoffs differ by two or three seconds between grass and asphalt.
For landings, just keep the front light with a little back pressure. As you know, pitch is pretty sensitive so there is no need for big movements of the stick.
Grass is more forgiving and more fun as well. It is what the 701 is made for!
