Rob,
If the metal is not stretched to much he can take a leather
bag with shot in it and have someone hold it on the out side
over the dented area ,then from the inside he can use a
leather or rubber mallet to carefully smooth out the dent,
if this dosent work it might be best to make a dubber and
install a patch, It allso can be filled in with flexbond typ
filler but the paint will need to be removed, Last but not
least you could just leve it like it is as long as ther is
no cracks

Subject: Need Repair Advice
I had a minor accident recently, and would appreciate any advice on
repair. After a pre-dawn run-up, I turned to go to the runway and ran
over an unlit barricade ( the portable plastic type with two lamps,
about 16 inches high at the lamps). The only damage is to the wheel
pant fairing, which is a simple glass repair, and the aft fuselage,
which is trickier. There is a gradually deepening dent, ending abruptly
at a bulkhead that is not damaged. It's about 1/4" deep, and 1 1/2"
wide, at the radius. The paint is intact, but slightly scuffed. It's
accessible thru the baggage area , But what is the best way to push
this out? I'm a non-builder owner, but do most of the maintenance
myself, and would like to keep it that way, but I don't want to make
this worse than it is now. It's barely noticeable now, and I'd like to
push it out without blowing off the paint.
