Hi all,
I should be finished up with the tail kit by Christmas. I’m preparing to order the wings c/w fuel system kit this week. I would appreciate feedback on:
Is there any optional equipment I need to or should order with the wings, (Lights, wiring etc.)
I’m planning on going with standard 2 x 10 gallon tanks as opposed to 40 gallon option.
Do I need to order the controls kit with the wings.
I’m planning on leaving the slats and flaperons to the last, maybe even after the fuselage.
I’m not planning on bothering with folding wing option.
Thanks
Perry Delano

Get the lights and strobes. Install them now while you can. Also put in a few access panels while you have the wing open.
If I were to build another 701, or a 750/801 I would seriously consider using capacitive type fuel senders over the Zenith supplied units. Less mess, mounted from the top, less change during steep nose attitudes.

One problem with capacitive probes is that they need to be calibrated with the fuel type you are using: 100LL vs. unleaded. This can be a pain if you vary your fuel type.
