I'm programming a glass panel for system limits of an all electric ship.
I'm using a B&C LR-3 regulator for the primary alternator and Bob N's 9005 LVM and OVM-14 for the stby alternator.
The OVM trips at 16.4v. the LVM at 13.0v. What should the "gauge" in my panel have for a max value, redline, hi yellow, ( low yellow(at) 13.0 per the 9005) , min value?
Re min value, worst case, 8-9v will keep the ignition,& EFI working and they are fused for this scenario.
Thanks,
John

Here's a shot of the meter face on a product we used to
offer:

The arcs are colored according to the following
rationale:
Anything over 15v is a badly functioning alternator
regulator.
13 to 15 volts says the alternator is carrying
all present system loads.
10.5 to 13 volts says alternator is off line and
all energy is being supplied by battery.
10.5 and below . . . battery is 99% gone.

Picture's worth a 1000 words. Thanks, Bob.
And for getting me off the notion that there's any utility in a 12v battery showing less than 10.5v.
