Steve, I have an MGL Odyssey EFIS in my RV-8a and have 32 hours behind it. NO other gauages of any kind, not even a compass. All told I'm pleased with the computer and MGL response to my questions and issues. I'm sure I'm a pain in the butt!. As to flying with a computer screen I am now totally sold on it and I really didn't expect that I would be. I have another airplane with steam gauges and it's a choir to fly with less info and response. I'm not a sales guy for MGL, but I do respect the fellows that make, sell and service them. I have a good buddy with GRT screens and he's always got a problem with something??? Course it could be him as opposed to the machine. My advise is to look past the pretty display on the screen and investigate the wires that come with the sensors and probes, the connectors and the sub systems. If it looks like crap then figure you'll be flying crap! You'll learn more about the product by seeing how to set it up and make it work then just how bright the color is on the tube. Good luck, Bill of Georgia
