Ladies and gents, I am in need of a screw-on lifting/hoist ring for a Housai engine.
Does anyone have one to donate or sell?
Thanks,
Justin

Justin,
If you drill/attach two pieces of angle iron onto the generator studs (have a hole drilled through each of the vertical sides of angle iron) you can attach one end of a lift strap to the pad, and the other to the prop shaft. Doug Sapp informed me of this method when I was changing the engine mount rubbers on 4024N. Works well! Good luck!

Attached is a pdf of a generator base plate that you can use to lift the engine if nobody has a lifting ring.

Ah, good idea Dan!
Will keep that in mind.
Thankfully the engine on my CJ is doing great, but someone generous recently gave me an old Housai, no history or papers, but ideal for the odd spare part.
Its sitting vertical/upright at moment, ideal for lifting w/ a ring. It'd be a challenge, at this point, to get it horizontal single-handedly.  Hoping to get it cleaned up and preserved asap.
Lifting rings are avail in China but... $$$.
Thanks!!!    -Justin
