Anyone interested in a Corvair engine, flying on a 601HDS with 40+ hours?

Chris,
I just returned from a trip with my wife last night and am at work today.
Will get off work at 06:00 tomorrow, then off to a funeral. My plan is to
attempt to put out some more detailed information tomorrow, but may not get
that done before Monday due to work. The details will include pictures,
costs and all the rest.
I have to leave to get some work done with the crew - more later.
The airplane is about 30 miles south of Tucson, AZ.

Chris,
Back in the firehouse and have a few minutes to provide some additional
information.
The CH701 is a kit from early 1990 's with a gross plans weight of 1,100lb.
It will take the larger Rotax 914UL or 914S and I have an engine mount for
that application. I have a 66HP Rotax 582 with 50 hours on it and the mount
- this is the engine that I am (was) going to use. The slats, flaparons,
wings, fuselage, and tail are complete. The tail is attached, landing gear
is attached and most of the cockpit is completed. Joints, wing interior,
etc. are zinc chromated.

Whomever purchases the kit will need to finish installing the header tank,
instrument panel, upholstery, attach wings, windshield, doors, install
instruments, complete engine compartment and install engine, paint, etc. I
also have a propeller, set of instruments, lights (wing lights installed),
door pats (not for bubble doors though) and various other parts, pieces,
etc. Several sets of plans and other misc. items.

The airplane will fit into a 24' U-Haul Truck without any real problem (jus=
t
care in loading and securing) for transport. Might work on a good trailer
too, but the U-Haul protects the airplane much better during transport. We
live 30 miles south of Tucson, Arizona.

I am asking $14,000, which is a pretty good deal - however, I might conside=
r
other options such as purchase of the airframe without the engine, etc. We'=
d
would have to discuss the cost if this type of sale were made.

I will get pictures and other information together this weekend.

Steve

Chris,
Please email me if you still have any interest. There are several folks who
have serious interest - since you were one of the first to inquire, I
thought you should have a bit of priority.
Please advise if you are not interested.
