I was looking at the airfoil on a Socata Trinidad and it looks a lot like the Grumman.
It's an RA 16.3C3 airfoil. I can't find any info on it either

The Socata Trinidad airfoil is an RA 1643 or RA 16.3c3
The Avions Transport Regional ATR-72 uses an RA 1843 airfoil. This is a NACA 43018 Mod.
It's my guess that the RA 16.3c3 is the Grumman airfoil. Now all we need are lift/drag curves.

Based on your transposition of the digits in the ATR-72 airfoil
(which has been shown to have a dangerous proclivity to build ice
that destroys the lift...), one would surmise that the "RA1643"
airfoil is a "43016" (mod?) airfoil.

I haven't seen this overlayed on the Grumman bastardization of the
NACA laminar flow airfoil used on the Yankee, but would say that if
it is a close match, then the L/D curves would at least point us in
the right direction of understanding the Grumman modded airfoil.

Are you basing your suggestion of identicallity on actual plots
overlaid, or on the relative appearance of 2 smaller samples compared
side by side?

Damn little info found through Google on either the RA 1643 or the RA
16.3c3, other than some listings of which planes they have been used on.

If someone can provide a .dat coordinate file I can provide the lift/drag curves.

I cannot find any L/D curves for any RA airfoils.
The RA 1843 is an older NACA airfoil. It wasn't that good then. We need to find a comparable '6' series airfoil.
