For RPA members and non members,

Those of you going to SnF and are registering for the WB benefits (arrival fuel) need to not only sign up on the RPA web site but more importantly on the SnF web site below. No pre-registering - no bennies.

http://www.sun-n-fun.org/FlyIn/WarbirdPerksProgram.aspx

I'll be sending out an e-com to the membership but be sure to pass the word.

I am sure I will catch hell for this, but:

If you accept free fuel, make darn sure you have a Commercial Pilots License.

Have a current 2nd Class Medical or better.

Have all your aircraft documents in order.

If you do not have a Pilots Operating Handbook for your particular make and model of aircraft, the answer to the FAA is: "This is a military aircraft and it does not have a POH, and all instruments are properly marked and placarded for aircraft operation."

This is not my ad-hoc advice. This comes from what I have experienced first hand. Personally, I do not accept free fuel or oil anymore. Hassles with the FAA have prevented that kind of beneficial experience for me. Once you pay $5000 or so to retain an FAA attorney, you will understand the above completely with no need for advice from anyone.

Mark,

You are 100% correct. A bit remiss of me for not including that.
