After further investigation, I found out that Narco made several
models of the AT-165 Transponder as either a new installation (AT-165)
or as a King KT-76 slide-in replacement (AT-165K) or as a Cessna
RT-359/459 slide in replacement (AT-165C). Turns out the unit I have
is the AT-165C model. It does, for sure, have a 23 pin connector just
like the old Cessna Transponder. After finding this out, I was able
to determine that the 16ga. yellow wire from pin #12 was, indeed, for
lighting. Thanks fella's!
