Today I was able to get some good time in on my kit. The guy I bought my Firestar ii kit from had some aluminum angle, maybe 3/8" that he thought was needed for the outermost wing rib. It was to beef up that rib or reinforce it somehow. I see where the round 5/16" (I think that was the size) tubes go beyond the spar but I don't see anything about that angle aluminum in the drawings nor do I read about it in the builders manual. Maybe I just haven't seen it and it's there.
My wife can tell you that happens often, but am I missing something? That same builder had built a Mk 3 years ago and maybe he was thinking it was needed on that or I just can't find where it goes on the Firestar ii. Any ideas?

Hi Richard,
Yes, that was what I was looking for. I looked through the plans the other day and couldn't find it. After seeing your post I looked again and there they were on page 18 of my drawings. It wasn't any where near the rib drawings nor wing drawings but was instead on the page for the center gap seal.
How I missed it I don't know but my wife can tell you it happens...too often.
