Gary,

 These pictures from your FB are very  interesting.

  

 I would like to try something along these  lines to extend the exit ramp under the fuselage.

 While at it I'll round the fuselage corners  and make the bottom extend a little

  

 Did you finish flight testing this? How  was the speed improvement?

Tried to send this earlier with the IPAD but  for some reason it doesn't cooperate. Probably 'cause I haven't got the hang of  Apples yet....

Ned,

This was a copy from one of the newer home builts or LSA, I forget. It was 2 to 3 knots slower than the stock cowling. 

I tried a bottom that looks like a Piper Malibu too. It is draggy also.
