Hello all,
I have been given a Wag-Aero combination radio. The unit has NAV COM and Intercom all in one box. There is also a large rechargeable battery in the unit. I cannot find any part numbers on the unit neither do I have a schematic. Any one have any idea what this unit is or have a part number. Thanks

Regards, John Read

John--

Your radio is likely an ICS Plus, manufactured in Japan in the late 80's or early 90's and sold by Wag-Aero. ICS stands for "Integrated Communications Systems". It had a lot of nice features for its time. It hasn't been available for years, and as I understand it, the technician that worked on these units has since retired and repairs are no longer possible. I know all this because I have one in my '62 C-150B. I haven't used the radio for a while because the 150 is a hangar queen, but the last time I checked on it, the LCD panel light is burned out. I brought it home and tore it apart, but couldn't find a replaceable bulb. Apparently the lamp is built into the panel somewhere. If/When the 150 starts flying again (FAA-no 3rd class medical??) I'll probably replace it.

No schematic, but I have a manual for it that I could scan and drop in the mail to you if you would like.

Ron
