Those of you on Facebook will find about 20 pics. Those of you not on Facebook only get the final pic.
My original estimate to install a cowling with white epoxy primer on the outside and Imron on the inside was 35 hours. I figured I'd done enough that that should cover it.
And, it will if you don't care too much about the outcome.
Getting the cowling fitted and mostly installed with the hinge and everything adjusted took about 50 hours. Sanding, detailing the edges, filling a few pin holes, and making the cowling ready to paint, painting the cowling, installing nutplates, and assembling the landing light takes another 16+ hours. Installing the baffles and trimming them to fit the assembled cowling takes another 16 hours. Removing and installing the cowling several times really eats up the time.
I also installed the Electroair electronic ignition in this plane. More on that later.
I figure I have over 100 hours in this plane. I was short on my estimate. Better luck next time.
