Hi,
I'm thinking of changing my fuel sender to a solid state one from here:
http://shop.airworlduk.com/airworld-solid-state-fuel-level-gauge-and-12-bendable-probe-300717-1001-p.asp
Unfortunately I forgot to measure the depth of the tank! Does anyone know how deep the tank is, what length probe I need to buy?
Also, does anyone have any experience using a capacitive solid state fuel sender, I'm planning on linking it to a Dynon.
Regards,
-Carl.

Karl

You will find a detailed drawing of the tank on the Club web site http://www.theeuropaclub.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/tank2.pdf.

In the position of the standard fuel gauge the tank is approximately 390mm deep. The idea depth for the fuel gauge would be say 375mm. The europa supplied part is a 350mm unit (as the 375mm is only available on bulk orders from the USA).

A new float gauge unit is now available from Europa which gives 16 levels (the old one was Cool. I have installed one of these with a Dynon Skyview and it works well.
