Another one you might consider is the TruTrak. All digital and you can order it with GPS or tap into your portable to give you constant track along the ground. Mine has been working fine for about 5 years. I don't fly in IMC if I can help it, but if I do happen to get into it at least I have a little bit more than just a T/B. They also make a very nice light weight digital auto pilot.

I'll second that motion...for the TruTrak. The one I have links to
my panel-mounted Garmin 296 GPS for the digital tracking info. If you
get into IFR, just bank around until you've gone 180 degrees from
your previous heading and the light will appear at the end of the
tunnel (of clouds). : )
