Hi group.
I am changing my clear plastic gas lines on my Kolb firestar , with a 503 rotax , I use a pulse pump, elec . fuel pump, gascalotor, and a fuel filter...the gas line I use is the heavy clear plastic line that I get from Lockwood avaition...it is also used for pulse lines....the old line is discolored and been on about 4 years now...here is my concern....when cutting the old line I noticed that the inside of the line was coated with a very smooth white substance....I took a knife and scraped some off and it scraped off like very fine dust....the line had been with out gas in it and was dry...the engine has run perfect with no trouble....I still have to finish replacing the new lines and then will start the engine for the lst time this year....your thoughts as to cause of the white build up inside of old line and cause is needed......I am using 87 octane car gas and pre mixing phillips air cooled 2 cycl oil 50 to 1.....and have for many hours....thanks Jim Swan
