Gerry,
I think the landing instructions during the microlight trade fair will be
even more difficult than those for Elstree. Easy on paper, but add a number
of aircraft ignoring the instructions and general circuit bad
manners/frustration in an over-full circuit....!
Duncan.

Duncan Hi. Glad to read you are alive and well.
I think what you have said is a complete under statement.
War Zone is the most minimal description I can make.
The average Flex Wing Pilot is in a world of their own let alone in the company of hordes of others.
R/T is not a strong subject in their syllabus along with complete intolerance to Barometric pressure and circuit height and pattern.
That said it has some amusement once you are safely on the ground or outbound by 10 miles!
Are you going?
Regards
Gerry

Hi! All
Actually Elstree is quite easy ...just no circuit in the usual manner so
basically get established on long final at either end. It really is a
circuit but from about 15 miles out without a base and down wind !!!
They had to keep me in the air for 15 minutes about a couple of weeks ago
some jerk lost a wheel on the runway !!
Well worth a drop in . Prefer to playing with knats anyway !!!
Regards
Bob H
