I am currently trying to sell my Piper Arrow and would then like to purchase a Lightning and attend the Builder Assist programme at Shelbyville.
I got carried away last year and in anticipation of a sale purchased the Garmin G3X Avionics which included:-
2 x 370 GDU's and Tru Trak Auto pilot with auto trim. At that stage I was going to purchase a TL3000 Sirius Aircraft (high wing).
My question is, Has anyone fitted the above avionics to a Lightning, what are the potential problems re engine probes and the Jabiru 3300 engine,
and can the people at Shelbyville do the wiring for the above. Should I sell the Garmin gear and go with what is designed for the Lightning?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Paul

My experience with the avionics tech at shelbyville was exemplary. I also had non standard instrumentation, including some garmin products, integrated with the GRT EFIS. They also offer some garmin options in their panels as well. I'd call Nick or Mark, and not worry much about it.
