Had a vent line come loose and dump smoke oil all over the inner fuselage. It's the smelly MIL-SPEC type the T-birds were using at the show( kind of smells like diesel). Does anyone have a recommendation for cutting it and cleaning it out other than AVgas? Little concerned about any type of detergent.
Thank you.

The cure is time.. Just ask Scott Andrews. He's tank blew a seam while pressure filling.... 5 gallons of oil all over and in everything. That was more than a year now and I think his aircraft still leaks smoke oil....

I.d use GUNK (liquid in gal can) and mix 1 to 4 with mineral spirits. Spray over interior surface. Wait a few minutes (15) than wash out with water. Make sure your drain holes are clear. Don't spray any thing electrical or get it wet. if you get water trapped in some places, suck it out a wet/dry vac.
