To Group,
Owners Of SLSA LS-1’s please take the time to go to www.flylightning.net/service-bulletins.html and review the latest Service Bulletin.
Make sure to read the SN range as it does not affect the last few delivered aircraft.
The 2.25” back up airspeed indicators installed in SLSA LS-1 aircraft are mismarked. The Flap range incorrectly covers the bottom of the green ARC, or clean stall speed marking. The flap arc on the ASI should be thinner to reveal the end of the normal operating range or green arc.
Airspeed indicators must be exchanged for the correctly marked unit thru Arion Aircraft.
Although not applicable to the experimental aircraft I would suggest reviewing the SB as well.
Arion aircraft can exchange those ASIs to owners of EXP kits for a nominal fee.
Thank You,
Nick Otterback
