|
|
I have an engine that has suffered a hydraulic lock.
I have a few Cylinders removed so that I can get access to the Bent Rod. I have gained access to the Front Rod Pin Plate ( P/N 14-06-11 ), and have removed all of the Bolts and Lock Tabs.
Do both the front and aft 14-06-11 Plates have to be removed to get the Rod Pin out of the crankshaft ?
The IPC shows the Connecting Rod Pin as a ” Split Pin or Roll Pin “ is this in fact the case ?
How does the Connecting Rod Pin get removed from the Crankshaft ?
Is there a " Pin " inside of the Connecting Rod Pin that has to get removed first ?
Does it get pressed out from Back to Front ?
Regards to all.
