Wondering if there are any Albuquerque folks on this thread or not. I'm flying my granddaughter, who just graduated from high school, into Albuquerque to a Beach Boy concert on July 6th at the Sandia Casino & Resort. I asked her what she wanted as a graduation present and that's what she came up with and the good part for me is that I was a big Beach Boy fan back in the day 
Anyway we will be staying at the Marriot Pyramid North and was wondering if anyone had any suggestion as to which airport would be the better choice for me to fly into and overnight, Albuquerque International or Double Eagle II? I've flown into Double Eagle II for fuel and pit stop on my way to Las Vegas before and they seemed like really good folks but it's a little bit outside of the city.
It probably doesn't really matter that much but I thought maybe a local could shed some light on it for me.

As you know, AEG is better for just a fuel stop, but if you need
transportation to motel or a rental car ABQ is better. I can't say for
sure on the rental car situation at AEG, as never tried it. The
nearest lodging to AEG is a LONG ways away, and you wait a long time
for pickup. FBOs at ABQ will gladly take you to nearby hotels. If
coming from the west I would fill at St. Johns so you only need an
hour or less of fuel. From the east probably Tucumcari or a Tx
Panhandle stop is worthwhile. There is also Sandia Airpark just east
of ABQ up on the plateau for cheaper fuel.

I'm no expert but Double Eagle II got
Me a car and it went well. I think the other one would be a pain.
Would love to hear what a local thinks.

ABQ is relatively easy. Just have to listen closely among runway
assignments(and become modestly familiar with airport layout before
arrival since there are 4 runways) because they often use different
ones for arrivals and departures. 3 seems to be default for arrival
and 8 for departure, FBOs fuel is usually about a buck more than AEG,
but they are top notch full service FBOs.
Recent report on a Piper list:
"Cutter Aviation parked me right in front of the door, rolled out the
red carpet, took my bags inside, then pulled my plane off to parking.
I gave them a fuel order and confirmed that AOPA members get a 25
cent discount. They confirmed my departure time and offered a ride or
crew car (not needed, since my family was coming to get me). When I
returned three days later, my plane was waiting right outside the door
(red carpet in place) and they only charged me for fuel. Ramp fee and
three nights parking ($50) were waived. All in all, I was impressed
with the service they gave to a little Cherokee that only bought 24
gallons of fuel."

I've flown in to ABQ a lot for work. I always used Cutter. They had an
Enterprise on site, not sure if it is still at the FBO. Like Kelly
mentioned runway 3 and 8 are usually active even if there is a 12 knot
tailwind!
