Here is a look at a prototype of a distributor cap I'm developing. It is designed to work with automotive wire on either a standard magneto or a magneto converted to Electronic Ignition. This configuration secures spiro-wrapped wire more securely than screwing a pin through it with the stock cap. It also has wider contacts for a slightly longer firing time to facilitate the multiple spark feature in EI.
Notice that 1 piece replaces both cap and cover. Larger 10mm wire for high energy systems can be used if desired.
See it at Oshkosh, I'll bring it up for the maintenance seminar.
