Hello,
I was wondering of anybody could help me out. I am considering selling
my RV-6A project and would like to know what the current market value would
be for it and where a good place would be to list it. It is a 1997 quick
build kit. I the empanage 99% complete and attached, the fairings etc.
fairings are klecoed on and trimmed. The wings are attached and also 99%
done except the wing tips are klecoed on but not riveted. All of the upper
skins are made and drilled ready to accept rivets but not riveted on. I have
slider canopy about 99% as well. Not much is dine firewall forward. I was
planning on using the belted air reduction drive coupled to a chevy 4.3L
motor. I have both the redrive and the engine that has been on a dyno to
break in and produced 243 Horsepower (at) recommended RPM to go with it. I did
not purchase the prop yet. I do have all of the finish kit and the motor
mount for the 4.3 motor. I also have the radiator, header tank and cowling
that need to go with the 4.3 motor. I have the headers started but not
welded yet. There has not been any modifications made to accommodate the
4.3L motor so if a person did not want to use the automotive engine they
could still use an aircraft engine. I have purchased a used radio and audio
panel. I believe the radio to be a KX155. The plane has not been registered
so the buyer could call it his/her own. The workmanship is average on what I
did and the quickbuild workmanship is good as well.
I appreciate any information anyone can give me.
Thank you!
Chuck

Chuck,
Probably the best way to get TMV (True Market Value) for your aircraft is on eBay. Put a reserve price on it which only you will know. The reserve is the lowest price you will accept, then hope it goes for more. eBay exposes your bird to millions of potential buyers. A detailed description of everything and pictures, lots of pictures...
If I can help in any way, email me.
