List
I took one of my old spark plugs and broke off the porcelain ( be sure to cover it with a rag ), cut off the upper portion, gutted it and brazed a 1/4" x 4" pipe nipple onto it. Get a threaded air quick disconnect fitting to match your hose and you are in business.

"And no, I'm not interested in building one out of an old spark
plug. Although it would work fine, I don't have the torch to braze
on the fitting."

He may have secured his adapter by now, but for anybody else who
might be interested, silver soldering/silver brazing is a very good
way to achieve the same results, and can be done with a small propane
torch, not necessarily a welding torch....and it's a MUCH cleaner job
than brazing/welding.

I made mine like you did, Bobby, but silver soldered the quick
disconnect directly to the spark plug base, eliminating the pipe
nipple altogether.

Yes, I have purchased an adaper from Lockwood Aviation. Price - $16.40 plus shipping. The adapter is in their catalog, but not searchable on their website.

Have a wonderful day,

List
For those without a torch!
I found out that J-B Weld does a good job of attaching a pipe nipple or hose adapter to an old spark plug to make the Compression Adapter.
