What year was your engine built?

The engine was built in 1998 and it has been running since 2000. I bought
the plane 3 years ago.
I have been told that this crankcase fretting sometimes happens in the early
model engines, such as mine. I have
also heard that Rotax will give consideraion during the overhaul to fix
this. I am going to phone LEAF within the week
and see what happens.
