Max,
I have the Electronics International FP-5 fuel totalizer for my 912ULS installation. If your fuel system is per the Europa manual, you definitely need return flow transducer (which is optional with the EI totalizer). The return flow is substantial.
I fitted the feed flow transducer between the engine driven fuel pump and the right side carb, and the return flow transducer inside the center tunnel – I have a hatch in the fuselage bottom for access to whatever I have inside the tunnel.
The system worked right out of the box, with no calibration necessary for very accurate reading of remaining fuel. Great tool also for fine-tuning speed vs. fuel consumption at various gross weights.
