Hello all,
With the elevator spaced back the 7mm from the back of the stab, stab level and elevator neutral it does not appear as though the center hinge hole on the stabilizer bracket and elevator bracket will line up. It appears I will need to shim the bracket attached to the horizontal stab back to get alignment longitudinally. Vertical misalignment can probably be adjusted for by raising or lowering the elevator slightly. I am nervous I am going to get jamming of the elevator if any misalignment exists with the two outboard hinge and the center hinge holes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Perry

Perry,
Not sure if you're having a similar issue as I did without photos of the misalignment, but what happened in my case (a CH701) was that part #7H3-3-SP was bent the wrong direction and was actually a mirror image of what it was supposed to be. The angle is NOT symmetrical, and caused a misalignment up and down. Don't remember now whether it was too high or too low. Anyway, called Zenith and they sent a replacement bent the correct way. Please see attached photos. Hope this helps.
Regards,
Richard

Hi Richard,
Mine seemed to be bent the right way. And per my earlier message to Tommy all seems to be fine. Although the elevator skin is still a mystery what way it was bent. Between Caleb and myself we sorted out a fix for that.

Perry
