Jabiru 2200A for sale. 8.2 hours TT since new, just broken in. I
bought a Kolb MK-IIIc with a run out Rotax 582 on it and decided to
replace it with the Jabiru engine. I flew the plane three times and
put the 8.2 hours on it. Since then I purchased an RV-9A and need the
hangar for that plane. I sold the Kolb to a local pilot that has a
Rotax 912 that he wants to install on the plane. He hasn't completed
the rebuild on the 912 yet so he is allowing me to keep the Jabiru on
the plane until it's done. Therefore if you are interested in the
engine you can see it run.

The engine has the two stage carb heater installed ($200). It has
stainless steel valve cover vent tubes. A Kolb factory engine mount
for the Jabiru, a Tennessee 64X36 prop (also with 8.2 hours on it).
The prop has the inlaid rubber "Uralite" leading edge which is a $70
extra. There is also a quick drain oil valve that hasn't yet been
installed but it goes with the engine.
A new Jabiru 2200A costs $13,500 (plus tax and shipping). The carb
heater costs $200. The prop was $540 (plus shipping). The engine
mount was $450. and, not mentioned above, the alternator cover was
$75. This cover was made from an RV wheel pant and is aerodynamically
designed. It does not cover the mags to allow for max cooling however
it completely covers the alternator/flywheel assembly thereby keeping
the bugs and rain out. The Mk-IIIc flew right at 100mph (at full
power) with this setup. The total cost if you were to purchase the
engine new with all the items listed above plus sales tax and
shipping would be over $15,000. I will take just the price of the
engine ($13,500) which saves you over $1500 and you'll have a ready
to fly engine. If I need to ship it then you will have to add the
shipping costs and the cost of the shipping crate materials. I will
make the crate myself. (Email: hangar31a(at)earthlink.net)
