I think if I was going to list a prop on e-bay where the buyer pays shiping I would buy 1X6 enough for a top and bottom and 1X4 for the sides. Nail the sides to the bottom.  Bolt the prop to the bottom using carriage bolts. Nail on the top and some end caps.  Someone here got a new prop for a 172 and UPS bent one tip, grounded for who knows how long. I think they would have difficulty damaging a prop so packed.   Bill in Lousyana
