With 345 hours on my 701 I've had problems with head coolant radiator mount failures. The last one allowed the radiator to bump into the engine and puncture a coolant tube. Anyone else having this problem and how did you fix it? Sad

If you are talking about the rubber isolator mounts, I have replaced mine in less that 200 hrs. They should be a conditional inspection item and are inexpensive to replace. I bought mine at McMaster-Carr.

Good point, Bud, but I'm talking about the thin aluminum bracket that mounts on the engine block and supports the rubber mounts you speak of. This thin aluminum fatigue cracks. I've patched it a couple times and in still cracks.

No, I haven't had an issue with that. have you balanced your carbs? This could be causing excess vibration.

I had the tab that connects to the rubber mount of the rad.
break off.
I made tabs out of stainless steel sheet and riveted them on
It is OK after about 50hrs
