I have a very good article on hydraulic lock on our website. It is posted

under technical information as a download.  This was written by Carl in

1995.  The laws of physics haven't changed.  www.m-14p.com 



A couple of other notes:



- It is possible to hydraulic lock your engine with fuel and over-priming.

- We have heard of one instance where a bit of debris was large enough to

block the intake drain line on the installed drain kit. Although the owner

thought his intakes were being drained, all were not because the oil

couldn't drain past the blockage.  If you have an intake drain kit

installed, it would be a good idea to periodically (condition inspection)

flush the drain lines.
